THe SoCal Photo Chicks! :
Since moving to Southern Ca. I have met several new friends to go out shooting with. I met Marilyn Lincecum and Linda Ruiz through BetterPhoto.com and it turned out that they lived on the same street in Palmdale! I met Terry Ellis also through BetterPhoto.com and introduced her to Susan Campbell who lives nearby her in Riverside. I have known Susan the longest, meeting her at Webaperture.com back in 2003. We get together as often as possible and go shooting all over Southern CA on day trips, sometimes even overnight trips, like to Death Valley and Rhyolite Nevada. We recently visited with our newest recruit CharlieAnn Breese in Chula Vista and had a grand time seeing her part of the world!
Some of the places we have been are:
The Getty Museum and Getty Villa, Calico Ghost Town, Lombardi's Pumpkin Patch, Santa Monica and Venice Beach, Ventura, Pasadena, Descanso Gardens, Huntington Gardens, Malibu and Pacific Palisades, San Pedro, Santa Barbara, Death Valley and Rhyolite, Randsburg, Balboa Park, Carlsbad Flower Farms and Oceanside, San Juan Capistrano. Temecula Wineries and Old Town, Riverside, Wrightwood, Leo Carillo Ranch, Lazy T Ranch, Leona Valley, Reagan Library, Grandma Prysbry's Bottle Village, Redondo Beach, Olvera St. , Scott Kelby's 2nd Annual Photo Walk in downtown LA, and more I can't remember :-)
We always have a great time on our trips and can always count on Linda to find somewhere fantastic for lunch along the way :-)
